Relatively unknown tiger sanctuary and therefore a tip for Wildlife lovers. Originally when this was the private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Rewa. From this area, the world famous white tigers of Rewa, which you can see now only in zoos and in the shows of Sigfried and Roy in the US originate. In 1968 the 437 square kilometers large territory was converted into a wildlife sanctuary. The deep valleys of hilly Vindhyan mountains are covered with teak and bamboo forests, open grasslands and sal, bamboo and mixed forests offer excellent opportunities for wildlife and bird watching. The name comes from the highest mountain of this area, called Bhandhavgarh (807 m). Anyone curious to bother you shall also visit the Kanha National Park (325 km) to the port.

Tierarten im Park: Tiger, Leopard, Panther, Hyäne, Schakal, Dhole (indischer Wildhund), Wildbär, Gaur (indischer Bison), Chital (gefleckter Axes-Hirsch), Chinkara (indische Gazelle), Sambhar (Hirschart), Nilgai (Antilopenart), Dschungelkatze, Muntiak, Wildschwein, Resusmakake, Schwarzgesichtlangur sowie 150 Vogelarten, wie z.B. Steppenadler, Falke, Eule, schwarzbärtige Bienenfresser, Paradiesfliegenfänger und Nashornvogel.
